Cooling Technology of NEC Express5800/BladeServer

In Dec. 2002, NEC developed a high-performance blade server Express5800/420Ma, This is a new generation product of the NEC blade server and reinforces the function and performance of the previous model. Adopted CPU is enhanced to the latest Intel Xeon processor by Pentium Ⅲ-s, but it requires higher CPU power consumption. In this article, we comment on the cooling technology of the NEC blade server using a high power consumption CPU with high density.
