MSA: NATO works with Mediterranean Dialogue partners to build presence and surveillance at sea

The Mediterranean Sea is a hot-bed for maritime challenges, ranging from state-based naval rivalry, to the need to generate comprehensive situational awareness, to addressing international security risks such as migration and terrorism. NATO is working with key partners in its Mediterranean Dialogue programme to improve understanding of patterns of life at sea in the region.
