Renault Eco~2 Sign Major Partnership with BT Team Ellen, As Ellen Completes A Challenging Archipelago Raid

The gruelling Archipelago Raid proved a challenging but rewarding event for Ellen MacArthur and Greg Homann on the BT F18. Renault, the Official Vehicle Partner to Ellen Mac-Arthur and her sailing team since 2002, are stepping up to become the Principal Partner to BT Team Ellen, as part of their Renault eco~2 promotional plans. Renault has supported Ellen MacArthur and her team since 2002 as Official Vehicle Supplier. As a Performance Partner, the automotive company provided a fleet of vehicles, which have been crucial to the logistical needs of the 20 strong team, incorporating three professional skippers each with his/her own projects, and a comprehensive program of competitive racing. Now Renault has decided to step up a level and become the Principal Partner to the team, in support of Title Partner BT. BT Team Ellen includes Seb Josse's 2008/9 IMOCA 60 project with the Vendee Globe kicking off in November, and Nick Moloney's Extreme 40 'BT' competing in the iShares Cup. In parallel, Ellen is supporting the car manufacturer's Renault eco~2 vehicle range. Renault eco~2, is Renault's range of more environmentally friendly vehicles, that not only have lower CO_2 emissions, but that also are manufactured in factories that are cleaner year after year since 1998, and cars that are easier to recycle at the end of their life cycle.
