The examples given in this article are just a few taken from real case where computer calculations based on thermo- dynamic and kinetic modeling have given successful results. Many more can be found in the literature or in books such as References 20 and 21. The use of calcula- Tions can drastically reduce the costs for Developing new or modified materials, Because of the possibility of reducing the Number of associated experiments.
