We have investigated the reorientation of the magnetization in a fct Fe/Cu (100) wedge by means of MCXD. We have sta- bilized fct Fe with an in-plane easy di- rection. The moment values for this phase are compatible with the existence of a ferrimagetic phase. In contrast to the results from constant-thickness ul- trathin films, the magnetic moment was not reduced for the in-plane thickness. WE also demonstrated systemati differ- Ences in the magnetic response between Wedges and films of the same thickness Working with the same growth conditions.
