Molecular BioSystems (MBS) was launched in 2005 as a broad scope journal for researchers working at the chemistry-biology interface. Back then this was a small but rapidly developing area of science, and MBS was one of a small number of journals launched to cater for this burgeoning field. Key focuses for MBS were and remain chemical biology, -omics sciences and systems biology.
