摘要

An analysis of unsteady flow of a Second-order electrically conducting fluid in the presence of a transverse uniform magnetic field is presented. The governing equations are solved by using integral transform methods. The effects of Hartmann number (M) and visco-elastic parameter (R_c) on the flow field have been discussed with the help of graphs and tables. It is observed that the velocity field and skin-friction coefficients are considerably affected by the magnetic field and elasticity of the liquid. The problem is significantly relevant to the magnetohydrodynamic flow through a rectangular channel under time-varying pressure gradients.
