The Golden Era: Los Angeles in the 1950s

Sometimes things like commercial buildings or a geo-graphic region inspire the choices a modeler will make when building a layout; other times it's a railroad's rolling stock and locomotives. For me it was the latter - those bright orange Pacific Fruit Express refrigerator cars pretty much shaped the theme for my model railroad.
