Kato's retooled, DCC-friendly GE U30C is a smooth-running N scale diesel

It's been 20 years since Kato last offered an N scale model of General Elec-tric's six-axle U30C hood units, and it's been worth the wait. The new model, retooled under the hood to make it friendlier to Digital Command Control, is a sharp-looking and smooth-performing engine. Keep a light touch on the throttle, though - on our test track, Kato's U30C zipped along at a top speed more than three times that of the prototype!
