Whether its a lone streetcar, four- or six-axle road units hauling a couple of cars to a local industry, or commuter trains moving passengers, people enjoy watching full-size trains navigate rails embedded in concrete or asphalt. But when it comes time to re-create that on a model railroad, the enthusiasm often fades. While working on my HO scale Christmas layout, I found that craft foam sheets made it easier than ever to simulate embedded rails.
