We now come to the final item in this series, which is, without doubt, the most demanding, not in terms of the size limitations of the method, but in complexity of the processes. Being small it is well within the size limits of a lathe with vertical slide and its complexity would be very much apparent if made in a fully equipped workshop where it would still be a very satisfying project. For an item of its size there is an above average amount of machining to be done and if using a lathe and vertical slide, economising on effort would be a worthwhile approach. This will be mainly a question of not slavishly working to dimensions.
