Well, Christmas is here again. I would like to start by wishing you and your family best wishes for Christmas and the New Year. This year has seen many new readers; newsagent sales are up as are UK subscriptions. Overseas subscriptions are down slightly, probably due to problems with the US subscription company Wise Owl. Wise Owl is no longer our agent in the US and Canada. A company called EWA are now handling these overseas subscriptions and there appear to be very few complaints, if any, about them. So, if you live overseas in the US or Canada now may be the time to start subscribing again. You will save money over the regular shop price and will guarantee getting your magazine on time. UK readers are welcome to subscribe as well. If you don't already subscribe, Christmas time is an ideal time to do it. Perhaps you could get your partner to buy you a subscription for Christmas? Deciding what to buy you for Christmas could be solved for years to come. If you subscribe now, you will miss the price increase due next month. If you subscribe for 2 years, you will be getting a real bargain as there will be no price increase for at least 2 years, which is 26 issues at the old price. It seems such a short time ago that I was putting the finishing touches to last year's Christmas Edition. A lot has happened in the last 12 months; I now have a couple of decent workshops, a brick one for the manual machines and a wooden one for the CNC machines.
