Having read Harold hall's article in MEW Issue 125,1 thought I would like to share with other readers some of my thoughts on this topic. This article relates to dividing in the lathe, photo 1 using a worm and wheel to rotate the mandrel by the required amount. I have no intention of going into detail regarding making such a device. Numerous designs have been published over the years, and all are suitable to particular applications.
