After purchasing my bandsaw machine I noticed that certain blades snapped faster than others whilst cutting the same material. I needed to know the lifespan of new blades and of blades that I welded myself, so I purchased a bicycle trip computer (photo 1), commonly found in many shops, and then set out to modify the machine to accept it.
