The materials used can usually be found lying around most workshops and the dimensions given in the accompanying drawing are a guide only. None are critical, except for dimension 'A' which is, of course, specific to the individual lathe for which it is to be used and is determined by the method detailed later. Photograph 1 shows the finished gauge and photo 2 shows the separate parts.
