John Moore, one of the owners of Myford Ltd (Chris Moore's father) has passed on. Chris Moore will be writing a few words, hopefully in time for the next issue. After about 75 years of trading, Myford Ltd has gone into voluntary liquidation (Fig 1). This is the end of an era. Following the sad news of John Moore passing on, this is a double blow to many of the older model engineers amongst the readers. At the moment, there will be no new Myford lathes produced.
