A THREE SPEED GEAR BOX FOR A DORE WESTBURY MILL

I bought my Dore Westbury machine as a kit of parts from Model Engineering Services around 1984. They still do parts for the Quorn grinder but I believe that the mill is no longer produced. The kit of parts consisted of three boxes of part machined castings and some cut metal to finish the rest of the machine. In those days I was a complete beginner at machining and made most things with the Myford in one hand and a copy of L. H. Sparey's book The Amateur's Lathe in the other.
