For more than 50 years, industry has had a choice of CNC machines to fulfil almost any task. With features that cover a plethora of possibilities and everything from small and simple, to large and complicated, there is virtually nothing that cannot be made quickly and efficiently by CNC machines. But now, something is stirring in the model engineering community. The time has come to modernise and make way for computerised equipment in garages and sheds across the land, as belatedly, the world of the home workshop starts to mimic that of the professionals.
