Hi David, There I was, thinking how useful it would be if MEW published some suggestions about where to get 'free cutting steel' in small quantities along with all the other flats, bars etc. that a beginner suddenly realises that they need to stock up with, and what happens? There in your friendly editorial there's a helpful mention of 'Metal and Plastic'. Not only that, but they are just down the road from me! How DO you do it? Thank you!! I'll just turn over the pages and comment as I go. I'm pleased to see the new ad for Pro Machines Ltd. Arc Euro have a very good spread and I find their extra bits of info (sizes etc.) very helpful. I wonder if some of the 'free gifts' could be made available for purchase though MyHobbyStore to existing subscribers? I wrote before about the usefulness of Harold Hall's article on QC tool holders. To a beginner like myself the photos are very helpful - I didn't fully understand what Harold was saying about holding the tool holders back to back at the end of the MEW 201 article, but there it is in 202, clear as daylight in photo 9.
