Necessity, as is the case with most of the tools I make, was the driver. I needed to drill a series of holes on a PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter) and as I don't own a rotary table, another solution had to be found. I could divide in the lathe but I needed a toolpost drill to drill the holes.rnThe bull wheel on my Atlas lathe has 60 holes drilled on the side of the wheel and a retractable locking pin to engage in the holes. The answer to my problem was to use this facility and some form of toolpost drill (photo 1). I would then be able to drill any number of holes that are a divider of 60 on a PCD.
