A Stepper Motor Driven Toolchanger for a Small CNC Lathe

The following description of a toolchanger for a CNC lathe is unashamedly designed for and is constructed largely using CNC machinery. The solution is a combination of pure mechanics allied with electro-mechanicals, electronics to drive them and two layers of software to initiate and control the tool change process at the required moment.
