Home Office and LGA in asylum seeker talks

A 'step change' in relations between Government and councils over accommodating asylum seekers is resulting from meetings between the two. Senior Home Office representatives and the Local Government Association (LGA) have been in discussions at officer and political level following complaints by authorities about funding and the concentration of new arrivals.
