Bedford and Central Bedfordshire Councils: Transforming Bedfordshire

Local government faces many challenges, including the responsibility for shaping 'place', regular partnership working and the continuing drive for efficiencies and service realignment. However, local government also has the opportunity to lead and transform communities and deliver better, more efficient services. Bedford Borough Council and Central Bedfordshire Council are set to deliver an ambitious programme of work focused on using publicly owned assets to regenerate Bedford town centre, and to deliver health and social care integration across both councils.
