The continuing Public Health challenge

Over the past few years, the issue of local health inequality has experienced far greater prominence not only in Government but also out in the wider society. The main catalyst for this new engagement came in 2004 with the publication of Choosing Health. Then, in October 2006, the Prime Minister pushed the issue even further with the launch of Health Challenge England.
