The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has launched an investigation into outdoor advertising deals between Clear Channel, JCDecaux and some local authorities. The government watchdog said it would look at the length and restrictive terms of some the contracts to advertise on bus shelters and information panels. It has now written to the two companies, explaining there are reasonable grounds for suspecting the agreements restrict competition.
