Councils are often accused of speaking in tongues, but at least one is trying very hard to break down language barriers. In this case, it's not a case of eradicating words such as cascading, funding-streams and cross-fertilisation Instead, North East Lincolnshire Council is running sessions on the county's dialect. A lot of the words we may not recognise today concentrate on that favourite British conversation topic - the weather. So it's hoped the sessions will not be disrupted by it mizzling - raining a fine rain - or haar - an even finer rain.
