The rear subframe on this street-tough Clubby has been on all three previous Minis that Nick Gilbert has owned, while the engine and many other parts have been filtered down through the generations. Similarly, his ownership experiences have also been distilled into this, a competition-styled Mini, with 1380cc A-Series and 10in split-rim alloys. As with any form of evolutionary process, the road to creation has often been a painful one.
