That's how much Chris Bryson paid for his first car, and it seems like a good investment because he's still got it today. He's had lots of other stuff during that time, but the 1275 GT has always been there.rnDuring those two decades, his Mini has spent longer in garages than on the road, but there's nothing wrong with retiring a car before it falls to bits around you. Now, after an eight-year rebuild, the GT is in better-than-new condition and ready for some miles.rnChris's renovation work was spread over such a long time because he didn't have a place to do it until he moved into his present house in 2000, when the double garage beckoned. And what a task it turned out to be. He went into it with nothing more than amateur enthusiasm, but he's learned to weld, spray paint, rebuild the mechanicals and the finished product is fantastic.
