Having sprayed litres of rustproofing, I had to get the excess off. This simply meant crawling inside and lying underneath the bodyshell, with two or three rolls of kitchen towel and some white spirit, and rubbing. It was tempting to leave the rustproofing in areas that I knew were going to be concealed, but most of it will remain tacky and can collect abrasive dirt under carpet and trim - which will erode the paint. I left residue in corners, angles and anywhere where I might expect rust to start up.
