Bristol Mini Day

The theme at Bristol Mini Day was 'Down on the Farm', which predictably led to lots of club members and cars being dressed up as cows, Wurzels and Aunt Sallys. Mind you, some clubs liked to think outside the box, hence the Health Farm and Battery Farm displays. Winner of the best club stand was Somerset Mini Owners Club, and they also finished as runner-up behind South Devon in the inter-club competition, which consisted of everything from eating crackers to herding sheep and tying a knot in a rope (harder than it sounds). Show 'n' Shine was judged by members from Six-Ex MOC and with 11 classes, from Sixties classics up to Best ICE. They certainly had a busy day, especially as the standard in every class was so high. Combine the above with a great selection of Minis on display around Puxton Park (just off the M5), cars for sale, traders, a great selection of food and even a visit by the local mod squad on their scooters and you had the perfect ingredients for a great show. With a good dose of sunshine it would have been a perfect day.
