Mini Moke Club members are a hardy bunch. It can get very chilly out on the Yorkshire Dales in May, especially when the sun isn't shining. Even with their hoods up, Mokes can be pretty breezy, so to ensure I got the full Moking experience, I went for the topless option. The old railway station at Masham, Yorkshire, was the base for the weekend - a nice campsite with a good restaurant where we made the most of the full English breakfasts each day. Moking can make you hungry - and thirsty. The first day was spent convoying across hills and dales, through quaint villages and across rugged moors. Towards the end of the day, the more adventurous did a spot of off-roading, leaving the weak-hearted, the concours Mokers and the few Minis that had come along for the ride to take the main roads back to camp. Sunday was a day for visiting local attractions. The mysterious 'Forbidden Corner' had everyone giggling and seemed to turn all the men back into little boys. Eventually there was the eagerly awaited brewery visit, thankfully within walking distance of the campsite. To ensure they celebrated their 25th anniversary in style, there were three-course meals on both Saturday and Sunday nights; good company, superb food and drink and great Mokin' makes for an excellent weekend away.
