The Oatcake Job

More than 55 Minis met at Stoke City football ground on the 17th February 2008, ready for the kick-off at noon - each Mini team was armed with a set of clues and directions. Staggered start times meant that, at the start at least, there were few Minis in sight and we were driving along on our own. Spurred forwards by clues such as "go towards the fruity rodent," and "stop at vodka's favourite friend", we darted about, answering questions related to the area. About halfway through, however, clues became harder and Minis were zooming around in all directions, their occupants laughing as they passed others who were equally confused. Eventually we discovered that a wrong turning was printed on the sheet - though it all added to the fun! The clues led to another local football ground, Port Vale, where prizes were awarded for the most questions correct and a raffle was drawn, while all enjoyed a well-deserved drink!
