Mark Wynn-Smith is no stranger to contours honours. For years he has been amazing us with his projects - many of you will remember his sensational Paul Smith LE Mini, featured in MiniWorld (November 2003). His latest car, a 1999 Mini 40 LE, won the MiniWorld Car of the Year at Stanford Hall in September, much to Mark's amazement as he had only just started to show it. Although to the judges it was no surprise as it is just about perfect and cleverly modified. As a result of the MiniWorld win, Meguair's invited Mark to display the car on its stand at the NEC Classic Motor Show, 14-16 November. A total of 16 cars took part, all winners of Meguiar's concours events for their own particular marque, with some stunning, super-valuable cars. We are delighted to tell you that Mark was awarded first place - the Club Showcase Trophy - proving just what a sensational car it is, and that Minis can hold their heads high up against the big boys in the world of hard core concours.
