Negative camber

In basic terms, camber is how the wheel sits in relation to the road. Positive camber means the wheel appears to lean out slightly at the top, while negative camber would make the wheel lean in to the car a little. Mini front wheel camber can be adjusted to change your Mini's handling characteristics.rnFrom the factory, a Mini's front wheels will have a small degree of positive camber and this is one of the main contributors to the car's understeer handling characteristic. By adjusting in a small amount of negative camber we can make it turn and corner better by improving front-end grip. Because of the Mini's front suspension design, lowering the car will bring the alignment from positive to negative. For a lot of owners it isn't feasible to lower the car to give enough negative camber while also maintaining a usefulride height. So what can we do?rnFitting negative camber bottom arms is the acknowledged cure and, if we're going to do that, we should also fit adjustable tie-bars so that the castor can be tweaked to suit.
