When Bill Young got hold of this Mini Van back in 1989, all he had to do was MOT it and he was on the road. Well, that's what he was told as he handed over the money, but as soon as he started checking it out, it began falling apart. "The Mini Van was Ziebarted from new," he explains, "but it was hit in the front when not very old. Hence the wing, sill, A-panel, scuttle, front panel and also the bonnet were scrap. I lifted the wing off by hand!" Having only paid ￡100 for the Van, it was still worth proceeding with a rescue. That turned into a five-year rebuild, and by 1994 the Van had been deseamed, grown a Roadhog bodykit, 13-inch Alleycat wheels and had side windows added. That's how it stayed for seven years until 2001 when Bill got a hankering to change it all again.
