David Hornsey's book on trackday driving and techniques is a fantastic read if you're planning onrnfor the first time, or even if you're a seasoned driver wanting to buff up on the theory. The book includes the basic principles of achieving a faster lap time, techniques such as heel and toe, and also some basic fitness tips. There are also track guides for nine of the UK's most popular circuits including Castle Combe and Goodwood, with some handy racing-line diagrams to start you off, and plenty of colour pics.
