I have recently bought some 5×12 pepperpot alloys, fitted with 155/70×12 tyres. I was told that they are for a Mini but I am having difficulty fitting them to my 1980 Mini. The wheels foul very badly against the shock absorbers and the inner wing at the rear. I have been told that the only way around this is to fit later Mini spacer drums and then a set of extended studs and 1%-inch spacers. Will these mods be OK?
