Before I could book an MOT test there was the small matter of fitting the heated front screen we picked up from Mini Spares. Fitting a screen is one of my most hated jobs on a Mini. It's fragile, yet you have to push and pull it about to get it in position. Armed with fresh window rubbers, Jim and I managed it in the end, although it was made a lot easier thanks to an extra pair of hands from friend Jon Page. We used some automotive black silicone sealant inside the rubber channels but there was a slight leak where one of the heated screen wires pokes through on the driver's side so Jim added some more sealant.
