It's not uncommon for subframe mounts to twist at the top of a two-bolt subframe. British Garage Downton in Japan has come up with this polyurethane solution. The mount actually wraps around the shape of the top of the tower, keeping it in place. The spring rating of the polyurethane is 80A (race type) and the mounts are available In orange or black. To take up wear in your Mini's primary gear, instead of having to have it re-bushed, you can increase the thickness of the thrust washer. Now Mini Spares has added to their range with a 0.123-inch gear shim thrust washer for 1275 engines.
