In January 2000 Robbie was contacted by a couple from Hatch End who wanted to offload their old Mini. Dennis and Vivian Burnikell bought the Mini on 5 June 1962, for the grand sum of £513.13.11. Sounds like they got a good deal, particularly as that included the delivery charge to London, anti-freeze, and road tax. They must have been discounting them at that time, suggesting that sales were maybe not as good as had been hoped! The car came from R.S. Currie & Co. Ltd., of Bayswater, via distributors Stewart and Arden. The car was made in April or May 1962.
