Swansea Festival of Transport

The Father's Day weekend of 14 to 15 June saw the 21st annual Swansea Festival of Transport. The festival includes the Saturday Under Milk Wood Road Run to Laughame (pronounced Lam). Famous as the town where Swansea-born poet, Dylan Thomas, lived from 1939 until his death in 1953. The instructions sent to us when registering for this free event told us to meet in the beautiful Bracelet Bay area of Swansea. There is a very large car park with a cafe, restaurant and kids' play area. Just looking around all the vehicles cleaned, polished and waiting to go was a treat. There were classic cars, motorbikes, vans, buses and lorries.
