The late designer of the Mini's suspension, Dr Alex Moulton, had a special place in his heart for the Mini to the end, as can be seen in his final collection of cars which was put up for auction in Oxford by Bonhams on 9 December, a year to the day after his death. The auction also included his Metro, a prototype for his Hydragas suspension, and his Bentley.
