I will never forget the moment we drove onto the EuroTunnel train in our beautiful Flame Red 1990 RSP Mini Cooper and I realised that the adventure we had been planning for over a year was actually about to start. Fear and excitement combined and my itchy feet had to remain motionless as we hurtled under the channel. Next stop, mainland Europe. Our story began all the way back in October 2012 when I got down on one knee and asked my beautiful girlfriend of 10 years, Jessica, to marry me. Happily, she accepted! We found a venue in Yorkshire and set a date of March 2014 for our wedding. We looked at the typical honeymoon options of Mauritius and St Lucia and decided we wanted something less traditional and more memorable. After bouncing ideas around for a while, we came up with an exciting plan: buy a classic Mini and take it to see some of the greatest sights Europe has to offer. It was an exciting and unique honeymoon idea and one which, even if it all went wrong, would not be easy to forget.
