We were saddened to hear of the passing of Brian Mylchreest, motoring pioneer from the Isle of Man, at the age of 97, on 16 June. For many years Brian held the BMC/Leyland/Rover dealership on the Island, a business that is still going strong today in the hands of his son, David. Brian was an early supporter of the Mini, using Abingdon-converted 850cc Minis as the 'Roads Open' cars for the famous TT races, running a hire fleet of around 100 Minis and encouraging and supporting a team of Manx Mini rally drivers and independents on the Isle of Man.
