Hardy members of the Mini community gathered in a frozen car park on Sunday 11 January for Wirral Minis' annual Wirral to Llandudno run. Before setting off, from the Bromborough Retail Park, there were some last minute repairs in order for Cristian Walker from Newcastle as he hastily reattached his exhaust, while other Mini owners showed off their finest winter woollies. In a rather bizarre twist of fate Wirral Minis' member Pete Smith and wife Alison, who was heavily pregnant and due to give birth the following day, were approached by the previous owners of their Mini: Pete and Alison Chadwick. Thinking they were done with surprises for the day it then turned out that Pete Smith had in fact previously test driven Pete Chadwick's Mini. Still scratching their heads, they got back into their own Minis ready to set off.
