My 1987 Mini City just failed its MOT on rear brake efficiency. The car was totally restored during 2012 and has new slave cylinders on the rear brakes and all the moving parts are moving freely. The handbrake is really efficient so I think it has got to be hydraulics. I was wondering if the problem might be with the pressure regulating valve not allowing sufficient pressure to the rear brake cylinders. Do you have any other ideas?
