My Mini

My name is Mark. I'm a 25 year old tyre fitter from County Durham and here are some pictures of my ongoing project Mini. It's a 1996 Rover Mini Mayfair 1275cc automatic. I bought it on eBay two years ago as an accident damaged car and, after two years of hard work and time, the final result speaks for itself. I chose a black and red colour scheme and I've made the custom interior from scratch by removing all the original covers and retrimming them. The engine is standard apart from cosmetic parts like the chrome rocker cover, K&N air filter and red HT leads. It also has a sports exhaust fitted. In the future I plan to remove the automatic engine and gearbox and fit a 1310 engine with a manual box. As it will always be an ongoing project I'm sure I will think of more things to do with it. It's my first Mini and I've enjoyed working on it so much that I don't think I could ever sell it.
