Gerald Wiff en is one of the unsung heroes of BMC's Competitions Department. He was part of a select team tasked with building cars for competitive crews in world famous rallies such as the Monte Carlo, the Alpine and the Liege-Rome-Liege. Rivalry was always fierce, with each mechanic trying to be responsible for building the event-winning car; Gerald was no different. 'Meticulous' was his watchword as every car he built had to withstand the tough terrains and dire weather conditions that the cars, drivers and co-drivers would encounter.
