Well Saturday 10 December came up and Meirion the navigator and myself were ready for the JJ Brown Road Rally in Gwynedd, Wales. Noise testing and scrutineering went well and we were complemented on our endeavour. Main control was at Plas Menai outdoor centre and it was here at this venue that Caernarvonshire and Anglesey Motor Club held the start and the finishing line. Our Mini was car 51 and we plotted the route within an hour including the quiet zones and black spots. Spirits grew higher as we waited to go to SS1 which was over the Aber foreshore just opposite Caernarfon Castle.
