HSCC at Silverstone

Silverstone circuit was the scene for an eventful championship final for the Historic Sports Car Club on 16 October. The cars competing in the Historic Touring Cars Championship ranged from a Ford Falcon to eight Minis had to endure tough conditions when the the heavens opened during qualifying, resulting in some spirited driving and a few spins, causing the race to be postponed. When the racing began, the glare from the sun made it trickier still for both the racers and the spectators to see. Mike Gardiner's Falcon took the race win with Barry Sime's Mini in 10th place, helping Barry to win the 2017 ByBox Class Championship.
